Our History
Since 1911, Yandina Baptist Church has been part of the Yandina Community, with the first building placed on the current site in 1921. In 1955, we supported the community after the town was damaged as a ‘tornado’ hit Yandina. The Yandina Baptist Church building was also destroyed. A new church building was built, and since then other buildings added and extended, and our involvement in the Yandina community continues.

Where we are now
As a group of believers of Christ, we desire to be Jesus to those around us. We do this through the teaching of the Bible and by trying to put His love into action.
Currently at YB we run community programs such as Playgroup, Men's Shed and CIYA (Connecting in Yandina Area), give community care for those in need, and provide other places for friendships and common interests to be enjoyed. We also have groups focused on the learning of the Bible, prayer and discipleship.
The YB property is made up of three different buildings - 'Connections' where we run many of our programs, 'Church' where we meet to worship and pray, and the 'Tea Room' which is a small furnished hall suitable for small meetings, functions and training. All of these are available for hire (see our Property page for information).
Some of the community events and groups that we are involved with include Yandina Street Fair, Yandina Christmas Carols, Yandina ANZAC Remembrance, Business Yandina (Chamber of Commerce), and Yandina Community Assn (YADCA).
We are also a mission supporting church believing in putting Acts 1:8 into action, and have adopted the Sundanese people group (Indonesia) as our mission focus. We also support ministries working within Indigenous Australia (Dhiiyaan), Philippines and our local school chaplains.

Black - the sin we all have
Red - the blood that Jesus shed for us to wash away the sin
White - the cleansing and newness that we gain in Christ
Green - our commitment to continual spiritual growth
Gold - eternal life and the confidence we can have in entering heaven when our life on earth is complete.
